Brett is an associate that focuses his practice on domestic and foreign patent prosecution. Brett has experience in a variety of technology areas, including software, computer systems, e-commerce, chemical, pharmaceutical, and the mechanical arts.
Brett previously worked as an attorney for an intellectual property law firm in Holladay, Utah, as a legal extern for an intellectual property law firm in Manchester New Hampshire, as a judicial intern for Michael A. Shipp, United States District Judge for the District of New Jersey, and as an intellectual property law intern at Merck & Co., headquartered in Kenilworth, New Jersey.
Brett holds a J.D. degree with a certificate in Intellectual Property Law from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law and a B.S. degree in Biochemistry from Utah State University and conducted graduate research in the Environmental Toxicology Laboratory at Utah State University before becoming a registered Environmental Health Specialist. As an Environmental Health Specialist Brett enforced local, state, and federal health regulations gaining valuable insights into government regulatory processes.
Outside of legal practice, Brett enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, biking, skiing, and kayaking.
