Neil Horne

Neil Horne is an associate at Keller Preece who focuses his practice on domestic and foreign patent prosecution, primarily in the software and computer systems industries.

Neil graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. During law school, Neil served on the Arizona Law Review Journal for two years, was a member of the Intellectual Property Clinic, and was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award® (highest grade) for both his Legal Research, Analysis, and Communication (LRAC) I (Fall 2021) and LRAC II (Spring 2022) courses, ultimately being awarded the Richard R. Fish Memorial Scholarship for being the top legal writing student of the 2021–2022 academic year.

Prior to law school, Neil graduated magna cum laude from Utah State University with his Bachelor of Science degree. He majored in biology (with an emphasis/concentration in human biology) and minored in chemistry. During a portion of his undergrad years, Neil worked at the Utah State University Spider Silk Research Laboratory where he performed research on spider silk proteins that had been isolated from milk obtained from transgenic dairy goats.

In his free time, Neil enjoys being outdoors (e.g., hiking, pickleball, boating), reading, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
